This is a great vacuum for overall cleaning around the house. I love that it comes with all the attachments that you could possibly need (crevice tool, hard surface floor brush, dusting brush, and more). I was searching for a vacuum to clean my hardwood floors because sweeping and dusting just wasn't picking up all the debris. And I swept everyday because my 2 toddlers play and crawl on the floors. I researched stick vacuums, but they just didn't seem to have enough suction power. I also looked at canister vacuums, but some were quite expensive and I wasn't sure if I wanted to drag a canister along my new hardwood floors. I considered getting a small ShopVac because I know they're pretty powerful, but they didn't come with a brush attachment for cleaning hardwood surfaces. Somewhere in my search on the web, I came across the Portapower. It was portable, light, and it came with 5 different nozzles and 2 wands. Plus, the reviewers commented that it was powerful. The price was right and I was sold. I used it yesterday for the first time and was very impressed. The only negative comment I have is that the machine is not very attractive. It's just a little black box that you can strap to your shoulder with a long orange electrical cord. But who really cares, right? It does its job great!
